Duster Coat ft. Black

Coat - Boohoo  |  Dress - Dorothy Perkins  |  Shoes - Dr.Marten  |  Necklace - Neck on the Line

I haven't posted an outfit post in a really long time and I finally brought a few new bits and so chucked some together and took a few pictures. For ages I wanted to get my hands on a duster coat, but couldn't bear part with £60 for the ASOS iconic duster coat. I searched many stores and finally found this one from Boohoo. I had previously ordered the asos one but returned it as I needed the money more. Although almost half of the price, the Boohoo one is of the exact same quality as the expansive asos coat. Although shorter in length, it is complete with both a blazer style front and buttons. Its so lightweight and can easily be thrown over any attire. To compensate for the lack of colour I chose a chiffon shift-style dress with a dusky coloured print.

I also recently purchased these Dr. Marten Clarissa Sandals in patent black. I had seen a few bloggers rocking the patent look but for the price I was slightly put off. I found a seller on DEPOP who was selling a pair at a significantly reduced price and I had to nab them. I can tell they will take a long time to break in but they are so worth it.

ARKiVE GIRLS | Saskia Rodriguez Photography

All clothing  |   Arkive Girls and Terrible Movement

So last week myself, and two other fashion/ style bloggers Shamie and Jessica got the super fun opportunity to be part of photography student Saskia Rodriguez's fashion project. Saskia arranged for the shoot to be held in Notting Hill, London among the beautiful bright-painted houses and organised both makeup-artists and hair stylists to make us up. The gorgeous fashion company Arkive Girls and Terrible Movement supplied all the clothing that we wore during the day with a total of three dress changes.

The outfits were put together by both Saskia and Jenna from Arkive Girls and all outfits are highly modern with edgy twists and stunning colour coordinations. The makeup also was matched to our outfits and so as my first outfit was a plain white mesh/ fishnet style midi dress, a bold lower eye line and loud orange lips complimented this outfit beautifully.  During the remainder of the shoot, the makeup artists toned down the brightness of my lips with some pinky-red shades. My hair was kept very straight for the duration of the shoot with some added volume for the final outfit.

Both myself, Shamie and Jessica all had an amazing time and experience working with Saskia, and having never considered modelling myself it was extremely fun, and being made up and trying on beautiful clothing was amazing. I would like to thank Saskia for the opportunity and choosing me as one of the bloggers to use for her project as well as Arkive and Terrible Movement for supplying the clothes, and both the makeup artists and stylists for their amazing job.

So I recently made a purchase from a gorgeous jewellery company called 'Neck on the Line' and I am super happy with my pieces. Neck on the Line is a UK based jewellery store which showcases affordable pieces which are of stunning quality and are gorgeously unique. From their store I chose 4 pieces. Firstly, the Chunky Ganesh Necklace is my favourite! I tend to wear it on the tightest setting which turns it into a choker, and this adds a not too 'over-the-top' look to basic styled outfits. The Ganesh Necklace is of perfect quality metal and has a sturdy, heavy feel to it. The Solaris Necklace reminds me very much of western style jewellery, and the crescent shape and intricate design details make it very practical for both day and evening wear. I have been a lover of crystals and their supposed healing properties and so chose this stunning Fluorite Necklace. Each fluorite crystal is unique and individual and the colour varies but are often a blue/ purpley tone. Lastly I picked up this Nomad Necklace, which again has a western/ bohemian quality to it.  The length of the chain is perfectly long and the large pendant itself adds some depth to any outfit worn. All necklaces from Neck on the Line can easily be layered in a variety of ways. Be sure to check out their store, link is above. Neck on the Line have free first class shipping for buyers in the UK, and they also ship worldwide. Overall I am very happy with the jewellery I received and the customer service was good. I will defiantly be purchasing more jewellery in the future.
